We asked our staff to pick their favourite 15 projects to celebrate our 15th anniversary this year. Here’s James Ironmonger’s.
“As a football fan it’s hard to beat doing the World Cup campaign at Harrods for Adidas.
We had done the Olympic windows two years earlier and that involved creating some incredible 3D effects but they were just windows.
For this job we had to build a pop-up shop within the world’s best known department store.
The creative from Intermarketing Agency looked amazing and our job was to bring it to life.
All the walls you see in the images weren’t there, we built the lot from scratch, it allowed us to create all the apertures you see to hold the footballs and boots. We had some incredible lighting effects built in to halo illuminate the products. Even the walls themselves had LED bars at the bottom so the whole room glowed.
The install was completed over three nights which was incredibly tight to say the very least.
I was off on paternity leave when the install happened so my first sight of the finished thing was walking into Harrods as a customer and seeing the space open and trading.
I couldn’t believe how good it looked and I remember feeling extremely proud to have been a part of it.”
