We asked our staff to pick their favourite 15 projects to celebrate our 15th anniversary this year.

Last week we kicked of the series with Jane’s favourite, Barnado’s. This week we look at Emily’s favourite, Gems World Academy, on her 1 year anniversary with LTD. Happy Work Anniversary Emily!

Gems installation“Gems is really close to my heart as I had only been at the company a couple of months and it was the first job I completely managed.

It was an interesting job, huge might be the word, as we were working throughout the school, inside and out, to give it some colour and brighten it up. Stu Glendenning, our designer, had worked with the school to design something really special and the job incorporated a huge variety of different elements, media and processes.

On top of that, the school was in Switzerland, so it was essential that everything went out perfectly first time as they weren’t just down the road if things needed re-doing.

The finished job looked fantastic. Seeing a visual and seeing something in situ are obviously very different and we definitely exceeded expectations for the client, which made me really proud especially knowing all the time and effort the team had put in.
